Editorial Policy
How does RLWC 2026 Guide make sure its World Cup information is right? This page explains how we research, write, check and update our content.
It covers our sources, how we handle scores, team lists and kick-off times, and how we fix mistakes.
In short: we check every key fact against official sources, update results after each match and correct errors as soon as we find them.
Who Is Responsible for Our Content?
Our World Cup articles are written by Alma Juarez. You can read more about who we are on our About Us page.
Each article is planned around what fans are searching for, then checked against official sources before it goes live.
If you have a concern about any page, email contact@rlwc2026guide.com.
What Sources Do We Use?
Our main sources are NRL.com, which runs the official match centre, and the official tournament site rlwc2026.com.
We also use ABC Sport for news, official team announcements for squads, and International Rugby League for world rankings.
We do not copy other fan sites. When sources disagree, we follow the official tournament or match centre information.
How We Update Scores and Results
Scores are added after full-time, once the final result appears in the official match centre.
Match pages, the results tables and our daily round-up pages are usually updated within a few hours of the final whistle.
Try scorers and key moments are checked against the official match report before they are added.
How We Handle Team Lists
Team lists are added once they are officially announced, usually in the week of the match.
Late changes can happen up to an hour before kick-off. We note this on our pages, and the official match centre always has the final word.
We show the players exactly as named, including the jersey numbers teams use.
How Do We Show Kick-Off Times?
Every match page shows the local time at the venue first, taken from the official schedule.
We then convert it to other time zones, such as Sydney, New Zealand and the UK, so fans abroad can plan ahead.
We double-check daylight saving changes, as clocks change in Australia, New Zealand and the UK during the tournament.
How Do We Correct Mistakes?
If you spot an error, email contact@rlwc2026guide.com with the page link and what needs fixing.
We check the claim against official sources and correct the page as quickly as possible, usually the same day.
Important corrections, such as a wrong date or score, are fixed in the article itself so readers always see the right information.
